KTR inaugurates IT Hub in Khammam
Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao inaugurated IT Hub in Khammam district. Spread across 42,000 sq feet, the five-floor IT tower is constructed at a cost of Rs 27 crore.
The minister said that the government is working hard to decentralize the IT industry and expand it to the tier-II cities like Khammam, Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar and Siddipet.
"As many as 19 companies signed up to begin operations at the IT Hub which provide employment opportunities to unemployed youth," Rao said. The minister also said that the government will sanction Rs 20 crore soon for the phase-II of IT Hub.
He also asked the youth to grab opportunities and enhance their knowledge and skills. "Many youths with book knowledge lack the skills and for those, the government had set up Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK)," he added.
The minister also inaugurated Mini Tankbund at Raghunadhapalem and cemetery in Ballepalli. He also unveiled the statue of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao in Khammam and vowed to install his statues in all the districts in the state.
Ministers Mahmood Ali, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Puvva Ajay Kumar, Wyra former MLA Madan Lal were also present in the inaugural ceremony.
