MP Nama Nageswara Rao donates six ambulances to government hospitals in Khammam District
Khammam: MP Nama Nageswara Rao has donated six ambulances worth about Rs 1.23 crore to the government hospitals in Khammam. IT and MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao flagged off the vehicles after the MP handed over them to the officials concerned at a programme at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday. KTR appreciated Nageswara Rao for his donation to improve health services in government hospitals.
The MP has donated the ambulances as part of 'Gift a Smile' initiative, started by IT Minister KTR on his birthday on July 24 last year. MP Nageswara Rao informed that the ambulances, which have all facilities like oxygen, ventilator etc, would be handed over to the health department for use in government hospitals in the erstwhile Khammam district. Assembly segments in Khammam parliament constituency - Kothagudem, Sathupalli, Wyra, Madhira, Aswaraopet, Khammam and Palair would get one ambulance each.
Transport Minister P Ajay Kumar, MP G Ranjith Reddy, MLC P Mahender Reddy, MLAs S Venakata Veeraiah, L Ramulu Naik, A Jeevan Reddy, Ch Dharma Reddy and S Saidi Reddy, Nama Muthaiah Memorial Trust representatives Nama Prudhvi and Nama Bhavya and others were present on the occasion.
