Not farmers, but Opposition leaders staging protests: Kisan Morcha
Khammam: New agricultural bills, which were passed by the Central government, are very useful to farmers, stated BJP Kisan Morcha central committee general secretary Polasani Sugunakar Rao.
He visited Khammam town on Wednesday and leaders of BJP and Kisan Morcha welcomed him grandly at the party office.
Along with Kisan Morcha State president Kondapally Sridhar Reddy and district BJP chief Galla Satyanarayana, he spoke with the media.
Sugunakar Rao alleged that the Opposition parties wontedly making issues on the new Agriculture bills for their existence when farmers across the country welcoming the bills. The Centre had introduced the farm bills to eradicate middlemen, he added.
Condemning the Opposition's allegations over the bills, Rao challenged the leaders to come for discussion on the bills. He also stated that only leaders of Opposition parties were participating in the protests, but not farmers. India is going to shine under the leader of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he added.
Earlier, Rao participated in a programme on 'New Agri Bills Vastavalu' with the farmers.
Kisan Morcha district president Chava Kiran, leaders D Venkateswara Rao, G Venkaiah, V Pullaiah and others participated in the programme.
