Puvvada, CPI's Narayana engage in verbal duel
Khammam: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar and CPI senior leader K Narayana entered into a verbal fight over Tuesday's incident where the Minister's convoy drove away even after protestors fell on his car near Kukatpally area in Hyderabad.
Reacting to the incident, the CPI leader condemned the incident and found fault with the Minister for his "reckless" act and demanded his expulsion from the cabinet.
Meanwhile, Puvvada reacted strongly to Narayana's remarks in Khammam on Wednesday. The Transport Minister stated that he was not an attender at the Makdoom Bhavan to be answerable to Narayana, instead a Minister in Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's cabinet. The Minister wanted to know whether Narayana was supporting BJP activist's attack on him.
"I was going to my medical college, but some BJP activists tried to stop my convoy to kill me. But due to efforts of security and local police, I escaped safely," Puvvada explained.
Later, Narayana also reacted to the Minister's comments. He said, "Puvvada should not forget his family's association with the Makdoom Bhavan. The Election Commission had clearly stated that non-residents of Hyderabad should not stay in Hyderabad on polling day. But, Puvvada was trying to move around the polling booths. His convoy drove away though one youth fell on his car. Not realising the incident, the Minister is trying to criticise me."
