25K beneficiaries to get house site pattas in Chandragiri
Tirupati: Government whip Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy kick started the issuing of house site pattas at Upparapalli in Pakala mandal in Chandragiri constituency on Sunday.
Reddy also laid foundation stone to 'Jgananna Colony' where 400 houses will be constructed and also distributed coconut saplings to the beneficiaries planting them in their house site. Giving a traditional touch to the distribution of house site pattas, Reddy along with his family of wife and two sons first presented Sari and Sare (a set up turmeric, vermillion, bangles, betel leaves, nuts, flowers and fruits ) and also Lord Venkateswara Swamy Prasadams including Theertham and Laddus in a bag to the beneficiaries leaving them in pleasant surprise.
He unveiled the plaque for 'Jagananna Colony' where the houses under `Navaratnalu –Andarki Illu' come up.
Reddy, who is also TUDA chairman, joined in performing Bhumi Puja, foundation laying ceremony by a select beneficiaries marking the construction of houses in the colony amidst loud applause, slogans hailing Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP adding more to the festive atmosphere.
Later addressing the gathering, Bhaskar Reddy said that Jagan Mohan Reddy created a history by distributing a whopping 31 lakh house site pattas in Andhra Pradesh which was not seen anywhere in the country. "All these years owning a house remained a distant dream for the poor but Jagan Mohan Reddy saw it was realised by the homeless poor making impossible as possible and proving his commitment to the welfare of women who will be the proud house owner,'' he said adding that he will personally issue the house site pattas along with Cheera-Sare to all the 25,000 women beneficiaries.
