5.4 lakh cash seized

Tirupati: The police seized Rs 5.4 lakh at various places during vehicle checks on Friday. The cops found Rs 2 lakh in a car at a toll plaza in Vadamalpeta of Chittoor district. They were transporting money without proper documents.

In another incident, the police seized Rs 1.9 lakh at Anjaneyapuram check-post on Kadapa highway in Renigunta police station limits. The police took a person into custody for transporting Rs 1.5 lakh at Bliss Hotel Circle in the early hours of Friday. Tirupati Urban SP KKN Anburajan has informed about the cash seizure.
