Few more Electrical Crematoriums will be developed in Tirupati: MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy

Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said that there is a need for a few more electrical crematoriums in the city to conduct cremation for deceased persons. It is one of the major problems in religious city Tirupati, in view of that Municipal Corporation, took the financial support of Tirupati Urban Development Authority to convert all the graveyards in the city as electrical crematoriums, told MLA Bhumana.

In this connection, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy thanked the Government whip and TUDA Chairman CheviReddy Bhaskar Reddy for extending his cooperation in grave yards converting as electrical crematoriums.

He has applauded the efforts of Municipal Corporation officials for taking initiation in creating basic amenities to its residents. Also MLA stated that as a permanent solution of Malwadi Gundam and Kapila Theertham flood water flow, MCT is going to construct a culvert as well as drains to prevent the submerging of low lying areas at Karakambadi road during the rainy season.

As part of inaugurations and foundations, along with TUDA Chairman CheviReddy Bhaskar Reddy and MCT Commissioner PS Girisha, MLA Bhumana Kara Reddy laid the foundation stone for constructing electrical crematorium at Balaji Colony. Before this programme, he inaugurated the newly constructed electrical crematorium at Harichandra Smashana Vatika near Devendra Theater.

As well as MLA Bhumana has laid foundation stone to construct culvert and sub canals for flood water smooth flow without any obstruction. MLA advised the officials to take steps for solving the submerged problem at low lying areas of Kapila Theertham and Malwadi Gundam.

He mentioned that TUDA has come forward to spend Rs 1.50 crores to modernize the grave yards with electrical crematorium facility.

In the programme MLA CheviReddy Bhaskar Reddy, Additional Commissioner Haritha, Deputy Commissioner Chandramouleswar Reddy, Superintendent Engineer Mohan, EE B Chandra Shekar and other officials were also present.
