Make use of facilities in SPMVV, young innovators told
Tirupati: The DSIR-TePP Outreach Centre-cum-Cluster of Innovation Centre of Sri Parmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) has organised one-day workshop on "Innovation and Translation on Food and Feed: The Journey of an Entrepreneur" on Wednesday.
Addressing the participants, the in-charge Vice-Chancellor Prof V Uma has advised the students and young innovators to utilise the facilities in varsity campus to make innovations. The Director of the workshop Prof P Uma Maheswari Devi has explained the programme and financial support offered to the innovators by the funding agencies.
Delivering the keynote address Major General Srikanth, President of National Academy of Veterinary Sciences (NAVS) emphasised on the importance of creating awareness in rural women regarding the scientific knowledge and technology. The Vice-President of NSIC Dr DVR Prakash Rao, Vice-Chancellor of SV Veterinary University Dr Y Haribabu and Scientist (DSIR) Dr Ramanuj Banerjee have enlightened students and innovators on the importance of innovation and technology
outreach.
Faculty members, innovators, students and researchers from different academic and research institutions took part in the programme. Co-Director of the workshop Dr P Josthna was also present.
