Tirupati: Karthika Masa special pujas begin at TTD temples

Tirupati: On the occasion of the auspicious first Monday of the holy Karthika month, the TTD organised special religious ceremonies at Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple in Tirupati. Special pujas included Sankalpam, Kalasha puja and Ganapati Puja to commence with and other festivities were held for Sri Uma Maheswara on the eve of Karthika Diksha.

Vedic Scholar Rani Sadasivamurthy of National Sanskrit University gave a discourse on the significance of Karthika month and the benefits of Sivarchana to mark the auspicious occasion.

TTD Additional EO A V Dharma Reddy participated in the puja held at the temple premises. TTD Asthana Vidwan Garimella Balakrishna Prasad rendered Annamacharya Sankeertans.

The TTD is conducting Trilochana Gauri Vratam on November 17 and Nagula Chavati Vratam on November 18 at Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple.

As part of auspicious Karthika Monday celebrations, Rudrabhisekam with holy rituals of Namakam, Chamakam and Maha Harati were performed at the Dhyanaramam under the supervision of Vice-Chancellor of SV Vedic University, Acharya Sannidhanam Sudarshana Sharma.

Sri Kapleswara Swamy temple Dy EO Subramanyam is supervising the arrangements of these special Karthika Masa Deeksha Vrata Pujas which attracted a large number of devotees.
