TTD contemplates Subhapradam overseas
Tirupati: In an effort to impart spiritual education to the children of Indian origin residing abroad, TTD is contemplating to conduct 'Subhapradham' summer training course in select countries where NRIs are more in number.
The summer training camp for children in overseas will help them get the much-needed moral and spiritual education based on Hindu Sanathana Dharma, apart from regular academics they are getting in the country where they are residing, said, TTD joint executive officer (Tirupati) B Lakshmikantham while answering an NRI devotee Satyanarayana from Dallas, USA.
Satyanarayana during the maiden phone-in programme 'Bhaktulato Bhavadeeyudu' introduced by the TTD on the lines of 'Dial Your TTD EO' weekly programme held every month on the first Friday to receive complaints on phone for solution and also to get suggestions from devotees on fine tuning the TTD administration and improving pilgrim services, conducted by Tirupati JEO here on Thursday, suggested that the TTD take up training the NRI youth in Hindu Sanathana Dharma.
JEO Lakshmikantham said the suggestion is well taken as youth is the trustee of prosperity. "We will discuss and let you know soon," he said. Another pilgrim caller, Naveen Kumar Reddy, brought to the notice of JEO the non-allocation of the dormitories in the newly-constructed TTD rest house at Penchalakona and at Tiruchanoor. He also sought status of enquiry on missing crowns at Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple in Tirupati, for which the JEO replied, the rest house will soon be opened both at Pechalakona and in Tiruchanoor.
While the police are carrying out a full-fledged enquiry leaving no stone unturned by sending their teams to various areas to find the missing crowns, the JEO said recently they placed RFID sensors in Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple which provides double security check to the jewels. "We have also started 'Sada Samarpana' register in all local temples for proper accounting and verification of jewels," he answered.
Another caller Jagannadha Reddy from Tirupati urged the JEO to revive pujas to Uma Brihadeeshwara statue located at Alipiri besides replica temple of Lord Venkateswara, while Sai Kishore suggested improvement of soft skills among TTD security staff and employees in dealing with pilgrims. Responding to these callers, the JEO said the staff will be given training in SVETA on communication skills. He also said the puja will be revived to the structure of Uma Brihadeeshwara located near Alipiri.
Gayatri from Tirupati brought to the notice of the JEO the high parking charges in Tiruchanoor to which he replied that at present parking area is under the purview of panchayat department. "The master plan is on cards. Very soon the parking problem too will be sorted out," Lakshmikantham said.
The first of its kind of phone in programme witnessed 14 callers from across the globe giving their suggestions towards the improvement of TTD rest houses and sub-temples in Tirupati. TTD seniors officials were present.
