VIJAYAWADA: BJP State president Daggubati Purandeswari has asked the party cadre to stage protests at the district Collectorates on Thursday on the issue of the diversion of grants provided to the village panchayats by the State government.

She alleged that the government was diverting the grants for other purposes and questioned how the village panchayats get funds to execute development works when they do not have any money.

She conducted audio and video conference with the party leaders on Tuesday and asked them to get prepared for the massive protests near the District Collectorates in the State on August 10. She asked the senior party leaders to participate in the protests at the District Collectorates. She said that she would participate in the protest in Ongole.
