Vijayawada: Four children drown in water tank

Vijayawada: In a tragic incident, four children including three girls drowned in a water tank at Varaha patnam village of Kaikaluru mandal in Krishna district on Thursday.

According to information, the children drowned were identified as Kavya Sri, 10, Nikhita, 10, Navyasri, 11 and Veeranjaneyulu a boy aged six years. The tragic incident took place when they went to play in the near the canal. The police and local residents retrieved the bodies from the canal. A pal of gloom descended upon the village with sudden demise of four children. The parents were crying inconsolably due to the sudden death of the children. Kaikaluru police have taken up investigation.
