CM Jagan grants financial aid to 3 patients

Rajamahendravaram: During the visit of the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, some patients met him at the R&B Guest House here on Tuesday and explained their woes. He announced financial assistance to three patients on the spot.

SK Abdul Shukur of Rajamahendravaram said his daughter SK Sharmila (40) is suffering from arthritis. The family is not in a position to bear medical expenses and requested financial assistance. The CM told the collector to provide Rs 1 lakh immediate financial assistance for better treatment. A resident of Bhimolu village in Gopalapuram Mandal G Nagalakshmi said her husband is a daily wage labourer. They brought to CM’s notice that their 5-year-old son was suffering from thalassemia. The CM sanctioned Rs 1 lakh immediate aid for the treatment to kid and ordered the collector to take steps to provide better treatment.

After the Chief Minister’s visit on Tuesday, collector Madhavi Latha and Gopalapuram MLA Talari Venkatarao distributed financial assistance to the affected families at the Collector’s camp office. The collector said that measures will be taken to extend better treatment to them. Meanwhile, many political leaders, public representatives, and ministers from the joint two Godavari districts met and welcomed CM Jagan Mohan Reddy at the helipad on the grounds of the Arts College.
