IIM-Visakhapatnam launches Digital and Social Media Marketing programme
Visakhapatnam: The Indian Institute of Management-Visakhapatnam launched the post graduate certificate programme in Digital and Social Media Marketing.
The nine-month-long programme will be conducted online. A total of 57 working executives from various industries have enrolled in the programme which has been designed by the experienced faculty of IIM-Visakhapatnam to enable marketing professionals to understand strategies and tactics to optimise digital and social media platforms.
Also, the programme aims to impart essential knowledge of several basic and advanced techniques to the participants by engaging them in hands-on exercises, simulations, case studies, projects, and scenarios in real business contexts.
Marketing Management, Consumer Behaviour, Search Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and Digital Marketing Analytics are some of the major components of the programme.
Prof Amit Shankar, programme director, shared insights into his experience with the attendees, and highlighted the roadmap ahead.
The chief guest of the inauguration, Prof Malavika Harita, founder and CEO, Brand Circle and member on the boards of IIM-Visakhapatnam and IIM-Bangalore congratulated the participants and broadened the understanding and importance of digital and social media marketing.
Director of IIM-Visakhapatnam Prof Chandrasekhar M laid emphasis on the significance of branding in the digital era and the use of technology to promote business.
