Secretariat to be built on government land: MP Vijayasai Reddy
Visakhapatnam: In the process of making Visakhapatnam as executive capital, Rajya Sabha member MP V Vijayasai Reddy said not even a single cent of private land will be acquired.
Speaking at the circuit house here on Sunday, the MP said the secretariat will be built on the government land.
As a part of the exercise, the occupied lands are now being recovered by the government, the MP reiterated.
Though the government lands were grabbed by the TDP leaders during N Chandrababu Naidu's regime, no action was initiated by the then government, he said.
However, the YSRCP government is keen on safeguarding government lands and considering concrete measures to recover them, Vijayasai said.
The MP assured long pending issues in the district, including the ones related to Simhachalam Devasthanam and Gajuwaka House Committee, will be sorted out at the earliest.
"Once the Special Investigation Team's (SIT) report is submitted to the government, the report will be brought to the notice of the public," the MP added.
Speaking on the occasion, Tourism Minister M Srinivasa Rao questioned the TDP chief whether action should be initiated against those grabbing government lands or not.
Further, the Minister appealed to the MP to accord nominated posts to hard-working leaders and activists of the party.
