Visakhapatnam: Charges against TDP MLA true, claims Gudivada Amarnath
Visakhapatnam:Taking oath in the name of God by people's representatives continues in the State with the latest episode witnessed in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
Anakapalle MLA Gudivada Amarnath arrived at Shirdi Saibaba temple at East Point Colony here on Sunday along with the party cadre to swear on Saibaba and prove that the allegations levelled by him against TDP MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu were indeed true.
Responding to the challenge thrown at Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy by the TDP Visakhapatnam East constituency MLA, Amarnath claimed that since the MLA did not turn up at the temple despite waiting for him for over an hour, the allegations were 'said' to be true.
"Being one of the accused in Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga's murder case, Ramakrishna Babu has no right to question the MP. The YSRCP is ready to prove the allegations against the East constituency MLA, who has a criminal background," Amarnath maintained.
In response to Anakapalle MLA's comments, Ramakrishna Babu mentioned, "I challenged MP Vijayasai Reddy to prove allegations against me on amassing benami assets. I seriously don't know why the party cadre is reacting to my challenge aimed at the MP. If MP accepts my challenge, I am willing to come to the temple to swear on Saibaba and later on Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy as demanded by Amarnath," claimed the Visakhapatnam East TDP MLA.
The Saibaba temple at East Point Colony was thronged by the YSRCP supporters along with Amarnath who spent over an hour waiting for Ramakrishna Babu's entry.
