Visakhapatnam: Four held Rs 1 cr unaccounted cash 29.4 kg silver ornaments seized

Visakhapatnam: During joint raids conducted on Monday, the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) and Duvvada police arrested four persons and seized Rs 1 crore cash and 29.415- kg of silver jewellery.

Sharing details with the media, Task Force ACP Prem Kajal said two persons were arrested and 29.415 kg of silver jewellery was recovered at a lodge near Allipuram during the joint inspections. The accused were identified as Himmath Singh Rathod and Sohan Singh.

During another search in a hotel in the same area, Rs 1 crore unaccounted cash was seized from two other persons. Bharat Kumar Purohi and Chhota Ram were taken into custody.

In another case, police arrested two persons for smuggling 100-kg of ganja and transporting it in a car.

Two persons U Subba Reddy and J Gouram were taken into custody in this regard.
