Vizag police seizes two weapons

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam city police seized a revolver, a pistol and two live bullets from a person.

Briefing the details here on Sunday, Joint Commissioner of Police K Fakeerappa said a person from Jharkhand booked a ticket to Bangalore at Sri Krishna Travel office last year.

The drunken man from Jharkhand was behaving suspiciously at the office. Siva Nagaraju, who was working in a travel office, asked for his details. With this, the person who came from Jharkhand ran away from there out of fear. While escaping from there, two guns fell from his bag. Since then, Siva Nagaraju kept them with him.

After receiving the information, the police conducted a raid and seized the weapons.

The Joint Commissioner said that a case has been registered and investigation is in progress.

Meanwhile, the police seized prohibited electrical cigarettes/E-cigarettes from different places. III-town Inspector and his staff raided and seized a total of 743 cigarettes from two different shops. The value of this will be around Rs. 22 lakh, said the Joint CP.
