Hanamkonda: It was N Chandrababu Naidu, who destroyed the Telugu Desam Party, Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao said. Speaking at 'Meet the Press' here on Sunday, he termed Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, as a vicious politician, who played every trick in the book to get himself to the top of the ladder.

Further accusing Naidu of ruining his political career, Errabelli said that even though he held the Telangana TDP cadres together Naidu encouraged another group within the party to sabotage the separate State movement. This indicates why I had to wait three decades to become a minister, he added.

Responding to a question, Errabelli said: "I and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao were active members in the TDP even before Naidu, then in Congress, joined the party. Almost all the leaders objected to Naidu's joining in the TDP as he had rebuked NTR." "Naidu made a blunder by joining hands with TDP's arch rival Congress to defeat TRS in recent Assembly elections. Several ministers and MLAs of Andhra Pradesh, who spoke to me said that," Errabelli said.

It's not right on part of Naidu to belittle KCR stating that he had waited for him in the past. Naidu should understand that as long as he was the president of the TDP and chief minister, his party men are bound to respect him, he said, responding to TDP chief's recent comments in an election campaign in AP.

Responding to a query, he said that there is still a chance for T Harish Rao to make it to the Cabinet. 'KCR will give due recognition to all the senior leaders.' Talking on local issues, Errabelli assured that once the election code is over, he will set the administration on run to complete all the pending works.

"MGM Hospital is on my priority list. Give some time I will develop the hospital on par with the best. A day will come that all the private hospitals would have to down their shutters unable to compete with the MGM hospital," the Minister said. He also assured to speed up the works of outer ring road, mega textile park and Devadula lift scheme.

Warangal Press Club president T Sridhar Reddy, general secretary P Venkat Goud, treasurer B Sunil Reddy, IJU leader D Krishna Reddy, KUDA chairman Marri Yadava Reddy, Vikalangula Cooperative Corporation chairman K Vasudeva Reddy and Farmers Debt Relief Commission chairman Nagurla Venkateshwarlu were among others present.
