Experts delve into new management paradigms

Warangal: A two-day national conference on New Management Paradigms in a Changing World: Innovations, Dynamics and Future Prospects (NMPCWIDF-2020) got underway at the School of Management, National Institute of Technology (NIT), here on Friday. The Conference was inaugurated by the NIT Director Prof. N V Raman Rao and Prof Ramana Sonti.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director highlighted the importance of Management Education and its linkages to the Technology, which has been changing rapidly. He advised the delegates on updating changing paradigms.

Prof Ramana Sonti spoke on 'Usefulness of Useless Knowledge: Big Ideas in Finance'. He said there are four important tips for the budding managers and investors to look in for making a sound portfolio. They are risk sharing, diversified portfolio risk aversion goal and goal prioritisation. He also said that the fintech, Blockchain and artificial intelligence are going to bring new paradigm changes for the future world.

He also narrated the developments from the baby boomers to generation X about investments. Around 150 delegates from various parts of the country in members attended the conference. The conference is deliberated in five different sessions presenting around 80 papers on various themes of Management.

Prof L Krishnanand, Co-ordinator, TEQIP-III, spoke on the Idea of Knowledge dissemination through technology transfer. Dr V Rama Devi, Head, School of Management, spoke about the Conference and department developments. Dr P Ramlal, Co-ordinator of the conference explained the backdrop of the conference. Dr G Sunitha, Dr SL Tulasi Devi, Prof DVSS Shiva Sharma, Prof K Jaykumar and Prof Ravindar Reddy were among others present.
