Fill vacant posts: activists staged a rasta roko at warangal

Warangal: Demanding filling up of vacant posts in the government sector, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists staged a rasta roko at Thimmapur crossroad on Tuesday.

Speaking at the protest, BJYM Warangal Urban District president Siddam Naresh Patel demanded the TRS government to release the notification to fill nearly two lakh jobs vacant for a long time. He found fault with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for ignoring his promises such as unemployment allowance.

KCR, who has eyes on upcoming MLC (Graduates) polls is trying to mislead the people by stating that nearly 50,000 jobs would be filled even though there are more than two lakh vacant posts, he said. If the government fails to take a decision to release the job notifications, the BJYM would obstruct MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao's Warangal visit scheduled on January 4, he said.

Referring to the private teachers' woes, Patel urged the government to rescue them as they were without salaries since the coronavirus lockdown. The government should pay them nine months salary, he added.

"The BJP is all set to win the upcoming elections to the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC)," Patel said, stating that the saffron party has the support of all the youth. The BJP will also emerge victorious in the 2023 elections," he said.

BJP Warangal Urban district president Rao Padma, BJYM state leaders Nampally Srinivas, General Secretary Nagavelli Sunil Kumar, Dopati Rakesh Reddy, Kalluri Pawan, Talla Shyam, District Vice Presidents Gandhasiri Srikanth and Thakur Akash Singh were among others present.
