Kazipet:'KCR ensured poor get relief'

Kazipet: Even in the times of coronavirus pandemic, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao ensured all the welfare schemes to reach out to the poor, Government Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar said. Distributing Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak cheques to the beneficiaries in Kazipet on Tuesday, he said that welfare of the poor is paramount to the Chief Minister.

"Even though the State government had been experiencing economic slowdown due to Covid-19, KCR made sure all the welfare schemes reach out to the poor. No other State in the country was able to do so," Vinay said. Due to KCR's endeavours, Telangana ranks number one in the country, he added.

Vinay said that Warangal West Constituency which he represents stood first in the erstwhile Warangal district in helping the people through Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak and CM Relief Fund. The Chief Whip distributed cheques worth around Rs 33 lakh to 33 beneficiaries under various schemes.

Corporator Abu Baker, Co-option member Kola Vinoda, Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) advisory members Madisetty Shivashankar, Borra Ailaiah, Tahsildar Kiran Kumar and Deputy Tahsildar Santhosh were among others present.
