Workshop to enlighten budding exporters

Hanamkonda: The School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education (SDLCE) of Kakatiya University (KU) to organise a prestigious one-day workshop on 'Niryat Bandhu Export Awareness for Exporters, new Entrants and Networking Event' in association with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) on Friday (September 6). This was revealed by the SDLCE Director Prof Guguloth Veeranna. The workshop will begin at 2 pm at the Seminar Hall of the SDLCE here.

Prof Veeranna said: "The workshop is aimed at enlightening the entrepreneurs, exporters, importers and students about the online certificate programme in Export & Import Management under Niryat Bandhu scheme with practical aspects and hands-on business plan preparation." The programme is of immense help in sensitising students towards export awareness and encouraging them to take on exports as a viable option, he added.

Students, who are aspiring to get into exports and willing to devote their energies towards the realisation of their dreams, will get insights into prospects and problems of exports in different markets, Prof Veeranna said, stating that the workshop was open for MBA, MCA and engineering students. Top officials of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) K Hrishikesh Reddy, Joint Director and Head of the FIEO Telangana Chapter PT Srinath, and Deputy Director of Spices Board Dr G Lingappa will give an overview of the relevant issues associated with the topic, he said.

In another development, SDLCE Director Prof G Veeranna congratulated Prof Ch Rajesham, who has been appointed as the Principal of the Commerce and Business Management Department of the KU. "Prof Rajesham is one of those dedicated and hardworking persons, who put a lot of effort into their work," Prof Veeranna said. Prof D Sakriya, SC/ST SDLCE Employees Union Vice-President Dr Sangala Ephraim Raj, Prof T Srinivas Rao, Dr S Narsimha Chary and P Sadasivudu were among others present.
