18 months old baby died after TV falls on her in Nalgonda district

Peddavura: In an incident, 18 months-old baby girl died after TV set falls on her at Battugudem village in Peddavura mandal of Nalgonda district on Monday. Going into details, Padma alias Durgamma of Battugudem got married to Shankaraiah a native of Parvatagiri of Kanagal mandal six years ago. The couple has two daughters, where the second one is Smiley (18 months).

After some days of the marriage, the disputes arose between both. With this, Padma left her husband and came to her mother's village Battugudem. Due to the financial problems, Padma kept her two daughters with mother Muthalamma and moved to Hyderabad in search of a job.

On Monday, Muthalamma sent her granddaughter to the school. While she was preparing the food, the other granddaughter Smiley was playing in the house and pulled the TV stand.

With this, the TV set fell on the infant and got seriously injured. Later, she was rushed to Peddavura hospital for treatment. After the first aid, Smiley was shifted to Kamala Nehru hospital at Nagarjunasagar, where she died on the way. On knowing the death news of the daughter, mother Padma and other family members reached the village and expressed deep shock.
