Amaravati: EO told to file criminal cases against 33 employees
Amaravati: Special Chief Secretary of Endowments Department JSV Prasad, in a GO, ordered the Executive Officer of Srisailam Devastanam to file criminal cases against 33 employees of the temple who were involved in the scam.
It is alleged that these employees were involved in misappropriation of temple funds to the tune of over Rs 2 crore.
Earlier, the special commissioner after receiving the report submitted by additional commissioner K Ramachandra Mohan, has reported some serious financial irregularities which led to pilferage of huge amount of temple revenue by some temple employees up to Rs 2.56 crore under different heads.
It was concluded this was a fraud committed by the software provider in collusion with temple employees and outsourced staff of Andhra Bank.
The executive officer was directed to file criminal cases against systems administrator T C Darselli, trainer deputed from APTS B Roopesh, 20 employees deputed by Andhra Bank, AEO SV Krishna Reddy, AEO Ch Srinivasa Reddy, AEO NV Mohan, AEO (retired) C Rajasekhar, superintendent C Madhusudan Reddy, superintendent B Mallikarjuna Reddy, superintendent K Venakateswara Rao, senior assistant A Sasidhar Reddy, senior assistant S Srinivasa Raju, senior assistant M Srinivasa Rao and record assistant M Savitri.
The Special Chief Secretary also instructed the Director of the State Audit to conduct a detailed special audit to know the actual amount of misappropriation, the procedural lapses in ticketing and remitting to the Bank.
The executive officer was asked to place the temple employees under suspension with immediate effect to prevent them from sabotaging the enquiry process and tampering relevant records.
The executive officer was asked to take stringent disciplinary action against 11 employees of the temple.
