Five died as car crashes into tree in Chhattisgarh
Nellimarla: In a tragic incident, five people of a family who were on vacation have died in a road accident as their travelling SUV car crashes into a tree.
According to details, Sunita, a professor at MIMS Medical college in Nellimarla, has gone to visit Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh along with her family members two days ago. Dr Sunita, her husband Lakshman Rao, their daughter Shreya, son, and Sunits's brother Ramesh along with Tirumala Rao and other three of Vizag had travelled to Jagdalpur in Visakhapatnam–Kirandul train.
The family has booked a car in order to visit the tourist places. In that car, they visited Chitrakote waterfalls, Danteshwari Temple in the Dantewada forest. On Monday, while they were returning to Jagdalpur railway station in the same vehicle, the driver who was under the influence of alcohol collided with a tree on the way.
With the impact of the collision, the car got completely damaged, and Lakshman Rao and his daughter Shreya died on the spot. The injured were rushed to the hospital, where Ramesh and Tirumala Rao died on the way.
The other two victims, Dr Sunita and a woman from Tirumala Rao's family were seriously injured. While they were shifting to Visakhapatnam, Sunita died. Dr. V Sunita is working as an Anatomy professor at MIMS Medical college. With the sudden demise of Sunita, MIMS staff and students expressed deep shock.
