Hyderabad: 2 arrest for attacking doctors

Hyderabad: The Punjagutta police on Tuesday arrested two persons for assaulting two on-duty doctors of Care Hospital in Banjara Hills.

The accused persons were identified as, Salman and Syed Ayub. According to police, both the accused persons brought in a woman on Saturday to the hospital for treatment of Covid-19. However, as they did not find any bed in the hospital, they started creating nuisance and argued with the doctors while assaulting them if they resisted.

Meanwhile, when police reached the hospital the accused persons also tried to manhandle the police, but they escaped from the hospital. After which a complaint was lodged against the duo by the hospital authorities. Based on the complaint, the accused duo has been arrested under sections 448, 506 and 186 of IPC; Section 3 of Medicare Service Persons and Medicare Service Institution act 2008; Section 3 of Epidemic Disease act 1897 and Section 51(b) of Disaster Management act.
