Karnataka killer Amrutha flew to Andaman with boyfriend after killing mother

Krishnarajapura: The KR Puram police have arrested Amrutha who killed her mother over refusing her love and flew away to the Andaman Islands along with her boyfriend.

The accused stabbed her mother Nirmala while she was sleeping at home on Sunday night and also attacked her younger brother Harish with a knife and flew away from the scene with her boyfriend Sridhar Rao.

In the attack, the Nirmala died on the spot and brother is receiving treatment at the hospital. The police registered a case and initiated the investigation. They examined the CCTV footage in the surrounding areas.

Based on the location of the mobile phone, the police found that Amrutha had escaped to Port Blair in the Andaman Islands along with her boyfriend. A team of police officials had left to Port Blair, arrested the accused on Wednesday and shifting them to Bengaluru.
