Man raped ten-year-old girl in Chittoor district

Chittoor: In a tragic incident, a man has allegedly raped a ten-year-old girl at Kottala village in Kaligiri mandal of Chittoor district. Going into details, Veerabhadraiah (25) committed a sexual assault on a minor girl from the village.

With this, the victim's family members and locals caught and thrashed him. Later handed over to the police. However, the accused tried to escape from police custody.

The alert policemen took hold and banged him with lathi sticks on the roadside and shifted to the police station. On receiving the information, the police registered a case against him under the POCSO Act.
