Minor girl raped by relative in West Godavari district

In a horrific incident, an 11-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her close relative in West Godavari district. This crime happened at a village in Undrajavaram mandal.

Going into details, a couple, who do labour works resides in the village along with their daughter. As usually, they return home in the late evening after completing the works. The girl, who goes to the school in the morning, remains alone in the home until her parents return in the evening.

Taking advantage of this, a 30-year-old man, who is also a close relative to the family, has trapped the girl with his words. In this context, he raped the girl when there was no one in the house four days ago and threatened to kill if she discloses the matter with anyone.

With this, the victim remained silent. The incident came into light when the girl's father found the accused phone number in the calls list frequently and inquired with his daughter, and she reveals the matter to him.

Immediately, they approached the Undrajavaram police station and lodged the complaint. On the incident, the police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and investigating further.
