One died in road accident in Kurnool district

Kurnool: In a tragic incident, one person has lost his life in a road accident while returning from a marriage function in Kurnool district. This accident happened at national highway 44 near Mallepalli village in Veldurthi Mandal.

According to the police, the deceased identified as D Ayyapu Reddy (80), a native of Kottur village Krishnagiri Mandal here in the district. On Thursday, Ayyapu Reddy has attended his grandson's wedding at Kurnool town and was returning back along with his wife Ranganayakamma, Son-in-law Dharma Reddy, and another close relative in a car.

While they were on the way, the car lost control and collided with the roadside railing and flipped over. With the impact of the collision, the car got completely destroyed, Ayyapu Reddy died on the spot, and others sustained severe injuries.

The injured were immediately rushed to Kurnool government hospital. On the incident, Veldurthi police reached the spot, registered a case and investigating further.
