Ramagundam: 9 illegal sand diggers held; 8 tractors, 1 JCB recovered

Ramagundam task force police with the nabbed nine members indulged in illegal sand business in Bellampally of Mancherial district

Ramagundam: Ramagundam Task Force police officials nabbed nine members who were allegedly indulged in illegal excavation and transportation of sand from the government land and seized eight tractors with one JBC from their possession.

With the orders issued by Police Commissioner, V Satyanarayana, on receiving the information about some persons excavating sand using JCB on government land near polytechnic college in Bellampally of Mancherial district, Ramagundam task force Circle Inspector Kiran conducted raids along with his team and nabbed nine members.

The accused were identified as Md Gouse (27), Ch Rajashekar (28), P Ravi (31), K Shankar (33), U Swamy (22), B Mallesham (37), B Shankar (22), Bairy Mallesham (53) and Dinesh.

"We had also received information that others are also indulged in illegal mining and transporting of sand from various regions. We are trying to get their details and will conduct raids without sparing anyone," Kiran said.

He further warned that the task force police will have strict vigil on the people who are trying to indulge in the anti-social activities.

Meanwhile, Ramagundam Police Commissioner V appreciated the task force team CI Kiran, Venkateshwarlu, Srinivas and Shyam Sunder who nabbed the nine people indulged in illegal sand business.
