Vijayawada: Ambulance used to smuggle liquor bottles

Vijayawada: In a shocking incident, the liquor smugglers have made innovative idea and caught red handed while supplying liquor bottles in ambulance.

Kanchikacharla police on Tuesday nabbed two persons and seized 37 liquor bottles smuggled from Telangana.

The vehicle was going from Suryapet to Vijayawada.

The police stopped the ambulance and shocked to find liquor bottles in the vehicle.

The police said it was unfortunate that the liquor smugglers are using ambulance, which is used to save the lives of people for ugly activities like liquor smuggling.

District Superintendent of Police M Ravindranath Babu asked the police to keep vigil on all routes and check vehicles that enters from Telangana.
