1 lakh Worth Onions Was Stolen from A Farmers store In Nashik
Due to the heavy rainfalls in Andhra Pradesh and Maharastra states, there has been a drastic rise in the onion prices The farmers are preserving their material safely in order to fetch some money on the onion. the rise in the onion prices have become the boon to the merchants and most of them are eyeing the innocent farmers to buy the material for least price. However, the farmers are very cautious about this situation and taking the necessary steps not to fall prey for this brokerage. This also led to the stealing of the onions in Nashik district. it is reported that one lakh worth of onion that belong to a farmer Rahul BAjirao was gone missing. The victim lodged a complaint with Nashik police.
Rahul Bajirao stored 25 tonnes of onion worth 1 lakh in 117 plastic bags in summer stock at his store in KAluwa taluka in Nashik. which was stolen by the thieves on Sunday. Based on the complaint the police have launched a probe and searching for the culprits in Maharashtra and neighbouring states. the summer stock store has been auctioned by Agriculture production MArket committee foe 3500 per quintal.
in another incident was identified where the stock of onion that belongs to Vishnu Aher was mixed up wit urea to damage the material.in Bhaur village, the Devla police have booked a case and the probe is on. In the wake of the highest rainfall, the price of onion has increased to 70 to 80 rs in Delhi and other parts in the country.
The two Telugu states governments are taking a necessary step to resolve the problem. Andhra Pradesh Minister Mopidevi has reviewed the issue ad asked the officials to stay alert and see that there is no shortage of onion in the state.
