1. Arun Jaitley is a great cricket lover. He also served as Vice President of BCCI before resigning in 2014.

2. He is also a brilliant student during his college life who completed his graduation in Commerce from Shri Ram College and then graduated in law from Delhi University. He served a president of the student union in Delhi University.

3. Jaitley went to jail during emergency

4. After coming out of jail, Jaitley joined Jan Sangh and became ABVP president of Delhi in 1984 and also All India Secretary of ABVP.

5. He then became Youth Wing President in 1980 after the formation of BJP and struggled for the emergence of BJP as in India.

9. In 2014, he contested direct election for the first time but lost to Congress Leader Amarinder Singh from Amritsar.

10. Arun Jaitley became chief strategist of BJP after the death of Pramod Mahajan and Atal Bihari Vajpayee's retirement.
