60-year-old kills son to continue affair with daughter-in-law in Punjab

A 60-year-old man killed his son to continue an extramarital affair with daughter-in-law in Punjab.

The victim Rajvinder Singh, the elder son of the accused Chota Singh got married 12 years ago and was residing away from his father with his wife and two children. Sometime later, Rajvinder brought his father to home who developed an extramarital affair with the daughter-in-law.

On learning it, Rajvinder warned his wife and decided to drop Chota Singh at the former's brother's house. Fumed over it, Chota Singh hatched a plan to get rid of his son to continue his affair. The accused then stabbed his son to death while Rajvinder was asleep and stuffed the body in a bag after chopping it.

When the accused along with his daughter-in-law went out to throw away the bag in drainage, a relative of Chota Singh who visited the house noticed the blood on the floor and informed the police.

The police after questioning Chota Singh and Rajvinder's wife took them into custody.
