New Delhi: Millions of people of Delhi are going to face water woes once again with ammonia levels rising in Yamuna river. This prompted the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to issue an advisory that the supply may be affected in large parts of the city. The levels of the pollutant in the Wazirabad pond are high and on an increasing trend, DJB said.
"The production at Wazirabad, Chandrawal and Okhla water treatment plants is likely to be affected and water may be available at low pressure in the morning and evening of Friday and so on, till the ammonia level in the Yamuna reduces to the treatable limit," it added.
