Banglore Police Nabs Lalitha Jewellery Thief: Gold Valuables Recovered

Bangalore Bommanahalli police have arrested the main accused in the Tiruchi Lalitha jewellery robbery case in Tamil Nadu. As per city police commissioner Bhaskar Rao, Tavera car was seized from accused along with 12 kg of gold, platinum jewellery and diamonds worth Rs 5 crore. After talking with Home Minister Basava Raja Bommai, he spoke to reporters. Murugan (45) alias Balamurugan, of Thiruvambur, Tamil Nadu.

The accused buried the gold jewellery stolen from Lalitha Jewellery and Punjab National Bank branch near the river Tiruchi. Murukan was arrested on Tuesday and charged with robbery. He has been accused in Bangalore on various cases at Banaswadi, Madivala, HSR Layout, Amrithalli, Madhamangala and Mukul. He was found guilty of robbery in several banks in Andhra Pradesh.

Murugan was arrested by the Bengaluru police four days ago and recovered the gold.
