The high court has held on to Ernakulam CJM court's charge to BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar to appear before the court in a case alleging defamation of NCP leader and MLA Thomas Chandy by Asianet News. After considering a petition filed by the Bengaluru-based multimillionaire entrepreneur and politician, Justice Raja Vijayaraghavan V issued a stay for three months.
His counsel, Santhosh Mathew, asserted that the petitioner was represented as the managing director of Asianet News whereas he claimed to be a director of the company on November 4, 2013, thus the Kerala high court issued a stay after.
