BJP to bag 17-18 seats in Karnataka as per exit poll predictions

BENGALURU: On Sunday, the exit polls have predicted that, BJP will be triumphant in most of the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies within the state of Karnataka, by repeating more or less its 2014 performance.

As per the early forecast, the party is likely to bag 17 to 18 seats, whereas the Congress-JD(S) alliance will win 9 to 10 seats. The 'others', mostly independents, are not expected to make a huge impact.

On Sunday evening, after the end of the seventh and final phase of the general elections, State and nation-wide trends had emerged.

India Today-My Axis conducted the exit poll and predicted the biggest margin for the BJP in Karnataka - 21 to 25 seats. It said, the Congress would get 3 to 6 seats, whereas the JD(S) 1 to 3.
