Congress leader grilled for "Hua toh hua" comment on 1984 Sikh Riots
NEW DELHI: The chief of BJP Amit Shah, had gunned the Congress leader Sam Pitroda over his comment "hua to hua" on the anti-Sikh riots which took place in the year 1984, by calling the remarks to be as an attack on secular ethos.
BJP claimed that the "instructions to kill" in 1984 had emerged from the office of the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, responding to which Sam Pitroda called it another lie of the BJP.
"This is also another lie, and what about 1984? 1984 hua toh hua. Aapne kya kiya paanch saal mein, uski baat kariye. '84 mein hua to hua. (You speak about what you have done in five years. It happened in 1984, so what?)," Sam Pitroda said.
Amit shah took it to the social networking site of Twitter, and slammed Sam Pitroda, "Agony of the entire Sikh community. Suffering of all those Sikh families killed by Congress leaders in 1984. Attack on Delhi's secular ethos. All summed up in these three words by Sam Pitroda - Hua To Hua."
The video of Sam Pitroda making the remark was also attached to his tweet, India will never forgive "murderer Congress" for its sins said, BJP chief Amit Shah.
Sam Pitroda, the Indian Overseas Congress chief, struck back at the BJP for "twisting his words and distorting facts" to "hide their failures", while reaffirming that the pain of the Sikhs was acknowledged by him during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
Sam Pitroda said the BJP was attacking Congress to distort facts, divide and hide their own failures.
On Friday Sam Pitroda had tweeted, "Sad that they have nothing positive to offer. I acknowledged the pain of my Sikh brothers and sisters during difficult times in 1984 and deeply feel for the atrocities that happened. But these are things from past that are not really relevant to this election which is all about what did Modi government do for the last five years."
Agony of the entire Sikh community.

I have noticed how BJP is again twisting three words from my interview to distort facts, divide us and hide their failures. Sad that they have nothing positive to offer.
