China reports 45 new coronavirus cases, five deaths

China has reported 45 new coronavirus cases including one locally transmitted case while the death toll due to COVID-19 reached 3,300 with five new fatalities, health officials said Sunday. The new domestically transmitted case was reported in Henan province on Saturday, the country's National Health Commission (NHC) said. The five new fatalities were all reported from the epicentre Hubei province, taking the death toll to 3,300, it said.

Telangana reports first COVID-19 death

A 74-year-old with travel history to Delhi tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday after he died at a private hospital in Telangana. 

Andhra Pradesh Government has appointed IAS officer Peeyush Kumar as the Nodal Officer at State Level for supervising COVID-19 healthcare (quarantine) camps set-up in the various districts of the state.

Fake News on Opening Of Wine Shops Goes Viral In Telangana

A case has been registered against some mischievous persons for circulating a fake government order on social media that Wine Shops will be opened between 2 pm and 5.30 pm from Sunday in Telangana. 

Directorate of State Excise and Prohibition said in an official statement that there was no such decision to open the wine shops taken by the government. The officials warned of stringent action against those circulating fake messages.
