PM Modi announced that the Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana would be extended throughout the country till the end of November, which is till the festival of Diwali and announced that the Centre would be providing free ration to nearly 80 crore people.

The extension of the scheme would entail an expenditure of Rs.90,000 crore PM Modi said. The Prime Minister added that 20 crore accounts had received Rs. 31,000 crore in their Jan Dhan accounts.
