Country's first Corona Testing Mobile Lab launched in Delhi
New Delhi: On Thursday, the central government initiated a major step in the ongoing fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan launched the country's first Corona Testing Mobile Lab. This mobile van will be deployed in remote areas of the country, which can do 25 RT-PCR tests, 300 ELISA tests daily. The good thing is that this mobile lab launched for Corona Testing can also check for TB and HIV.
After launching this lab, the Health Minister said, 'We started the battle of COVID Testing from 1 February on a lab. Today we have 953 labs across the country. Out of these 953, about 699 are government labs. Such innovations have been developed to ensure test facilities in remote areas.
Andhra Pradesh-based company AMTJ, which manufactures thermal screening, ventilators, Covid-19 test devices, 3D masks, etc., named it i-Lab. It has been prepared in collaboration with the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. It will also have a facility of ELISA testing along with RTPCR investigation.
The Rapid Response Mobile Laboratory will be on a large truck, which can be transported to any area. According to the information, this lab has been prepared for rural, inaccessible areas and slum areas of the country, where people can be corona tested. These labs can also be made available at different airports.
