Couple murders man as he harasses woman and her sister

A man and his wife murdered their friend after they found out that, for over a few months; the friend had been sexually harassing both the wife and her sister. The couple, Mohan, 29, and Ramya, 25 have been arrested by the Rajagopalnagar police, both occupants of Lavakusha Nagar, on Saturday.

Police said the deceased Madhu and the accused Mohan were childhood friends. Mohan and Ramya had got married a few years back. All three of them were staying at Rajagopalnagar but hail from Hassan. Madhu and Mohan worked as drivers.

Police said Madhu was friends with Ramya and her family too as used to vist Mohan's house often. Madhu started conveying his interest in having a relationship with Ramya. Moreover, he tried to force her to get physically close with him, from the past three months.

He threatened her that if she did not, he would tell lies to her husband about her character. Ramya succeeded in escaping him, but then, later came to know that Madhu had started harassing her sister, Bindhu as well.

Ramya told her husband about the harassment, a few weeks back. Madhu did not stay away from them even when Mohan asked him to. The couple invited him to their house and confronted him together, on Saturday. As a result, a fight broke out between the three. Mohan asked his wife to hit him on his head with an iron rod as he held Madhu and. Ramya hit him on his head with the rod resulting in his instant death.
