COVID-19 Crisis: 700 Employees Of NOIDA Firm Quarantined
New Delhi: After a New Delhi-based man working in a NOIDA company tested positive for novel Coronavirus, more than 700 of his colleagues were advised to be home-quarantined on Friday, media reports said. The first employee who tested positive is reported to have had a travel history of Italy and France. The news sent shock waves in the National Capital Region (NCR) and across the country.
This is the largest single case of quarantine in the country and there are fears with regard to this employee and on those he had come into contact with. A short while ago, Delhi deputy chief minister, Manish Sisodia in a media interaction pointed out how a single case of a patient in Korea who tested positive later, first slipped screening and later infected 10,000 people. He cautioned people to take necessary precautions and quarantine themselves and seek medical treatment if needed.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to address a press conference at 1:30 pm.
