New Delhi: Kashmir remains nervous, Union Minister Amit Shah will probably visit the state after the close of the session of Parliament next week.
Shah's visit comes amid the uncertainty and tension in the valley ahead of Independence Day celebrations, with regional parties seeking clarification from the Center on developments in the state.
Although the Center has not made a direct statement so far, all eyes are turning to the Home Minister's visit following the massive deployment of troops in the valley.
While an additional 10,000 troops were sent to Jammu and Kashmir last week, a person familiar with the situation said: The security situation must be contained. If an order is received, the troops will be moved to the specified areas by air and road convoys ".
Meanwhile, people line up in front of gas stations, ATMs, drug stores and grocery stores, fearing a shortage of essential items in the current situation.
