Dhenkanal : Vigilance directs CDMPHO to submit case records

Dhenkanal : The Cuttack vigilance wing has directed the Health authorities to submit authentic case records in connection with the implementation of the Swanetra Yojana following alleged irregularities and bungling of funds by June 21.

According to reports, there was rampant corruption in the implementation of Swanetra Yojana. Patients are supposed to get free eye health care, including operation services. The government had introduced the service from 2015 to 2018. There was bungling of funds worth Rs 50 lakh. Official sources said a petition on the irregularities was filed in the Lokyukt.

The vigilance sought case records of patients from Dhenkanal Health authorities. The vigilance is investigation the case. Officials are spending sleepless nights to prepare documents and case records. When asked, Chief District Medical and Public Health officer [CDMPHO] Dr Ashok Kumar Dash told The Hans India that he was sending all case records of patients on Wednesday.
