Election Commission releases Schedule for Rajya Sabha elections

The Central Election Commission on Tuesday released the schedule of elections for 55 Rajya Sabha seats from all 17 states. The six-year term will end for the 55 members from all over seventeen states. Among those, the Andhra Pradesh will have four seats vacant while Telangana would have two seats.

The notification for the election will be released on March 6 followed by filing nominations from March 13. The scrutiny of the nominations will be done on March 16, and later the polling will be held on March 26 from 9 am to 4 pm.
