Family commits suicide in TN

Tiruvottiyur: In a tragic incident, a couple has killed their child and then committed suicide by hanging themself. Going into detail, Kandaswamy (35) a native of Tenkasi district works as a daily wage labourer and his wife Indumati (30). The couple has a six-year-old son and two-year-old daughter.

It's reported that Kandaswamy has borrowed money from several people, but unable to pay off the debts. With this, the money leaders started to pressure him for the repayment.

Over unable to bear the debts, the family decided to commit suicide. They first killed their son and later committed suicide by hanging themself to fan in different rooms in the house on Monday night.

The locals who heard the girls cry, when into the house and found the wife and husband bodied hanging to fan and the boy was lying on the ground. On receiving the information, the Puliyarai police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to Tenkasi government hospital for post-mortem.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the family had committed suicide over unable to bear the debts. The statement was written with blood on the wall. Over the incident, the police have registered a case and investigating further.
